If you’re looking to make your profile stand out to camp directors, here are a few simple ways to strengthen your application and maximise your placement opportunities 👇
🗓️ Availability
Many placements start earlier or finish later in the summer.
Tip: Extending your availability increases your chances of matching with more camps.
🎓 Student Status
If you’ve listed yourself as a non-student, only a small number of camps can hire you.
Tip: If your student status has changed since applying, contact the team so we can update your profile.
🧗 Skills
Skills You should have at least a paragraph per skill that outlines your experience, passion and desire to teach at camp.
🎥 Showcase & Introductory Video
A Showcase or Introductory Video allows camp directors to see your skills and personality in action.
If you’ve listed a creative skill (like Arts & Crafts, Performing Arts, or Photography), directors will often look for a showcase before connecting with you.
Tip: Follow our showcase guide to make sure yours stands out.
🏕️ Camp Questionnaire & Preferences
Selecting more camp preferences gives us more flexibility to match you with the right camp.
Make sure your Camp Questionnaire answers align with your Preferences — if you’d like to make changes, let us know and we’ll update your profile.
📸 Profile Photo
Your profile photo is one of the first things camp directors see.
Choose a smiley, professional-looking photo that’s appropriate for a job application — updating it can help refresh your profile.
