Booking Flights

*NOTE: The following information ONLY pertains to Mexican Citizens who have been given instructions by Camp Canada to apply for your work permit online.

When can I book my flights?

We recommend that you do NOT make any flight arrangements until you have received your work permit approval AND received your passport with your temporary resident visa sticker inserted inside from the Visa Application Centre (VAC) (if applicable) from IRCC.

What if I already booked my flights and have not received my work permit approval?

If you have already booked your flights, we advise that you reach out to your airline provider to explore your options based on these Government announcements.

Do I need to book a return flight?

Canadian officials don't require you to have a return ticket when you enter Canada, but you may be asked to prove that you can buy one. This means showing your credit card or proof of funds. Some airlines may require that you buy a return ticket. *In 2023, the airline Aeroméxico was known to refuse participants boarding if they did not have a return flight booked.
