Camp Wages

We know you are travelling to work at camp for an incredible experience and to make lifelong friends and have a meaningful impact on children, but we also know that being paid for your efforts is important.

We have set the pocket money at a competitive rate compared to other agencies that operate in North America and place international staff at camps. We want to make sure that you are getting paid a fair base amount that is consistent throughout the industry.

There is a good chance that other staff at your camp will earn more than you. This may be due to variables like having more experience, returning to camp, working in a role that requires more certification, or not utilizing the services of an agency to provide a variety of support services to help them with their travel and work experience in Canada.

Unlike other camp placement programs, there is no fee for you to return to your camp and you can negotiate your pocket money directly with your camp when you return in future years. Your camp may then choose to utilize our support worker services for your return to camp and the camp will pay for this in full at no cost to you.

If you extend your stay at camp then there is no additional fee charged by Camp Canada for helping you to extend your placement and any work permit support provided by us to extend your placement will be completed at the cost of your camp.

Unlike other agencies, there is no early departure fee if you need to leave camp early or your contract is terminated by your camp employer.

We understand that it can be very frustrating to work hard and potentially get paid less than other people at camp. We set your minimum pocket money at camp, so if you have issues with the amount you are earning then please connect with your camp employer or connect with us before you travel to Canada and we can talk through any potential solutions.
