Supporting Documents for the Online Work Permit Application (outside of Canada): Employment Documents

*If you are a Mexican Citizen and have been given instructions by Camp Canada to apply for your work permit online, you will find some of the supporting documents that you will need to upload and submit with your online work permit application to IRCC below:

  1. Employment Reference Letter - This should be from your employers over the last 2 years. If you are a student and have not been employed, please provide this information with documentation from your school regarding your current program.

  2. Letter from Current Employer - This should state your current position and salary. Again, if you are a student and do not have a current employer, please upload a letter from your school indicating your program and studies.

  3. Employment Records - Similar to employment documents mentioned above. Should match the employment history listed on your application. *We understand that it might be difficult for some people to gather all of this information. This document is not specific to the Camp Counsellor work permit, but it is a document that needs to be submitted in order to move forward in the process. Please do the best you can with this.

There is some overlap in the 3 documents above. If you prefer, you can upload the same document more than once to cover 2 or 3 of these required documents, as long as all of the information requested is present.

What if I am currently unemployed or have never held employment?

We recommend you upload a letter from your school detailing your program and studies instead.

What if I cannot get in touch with my previous employer?

We understand that getting in contact with your previous employers may be difficult. Do the best you can with this and, if necessary, explain your situation in a brief document, as there is a short timeframe to submit your application.
