Other Common Questions About Camp

Can I get placed with a friend?

At Camp Canada, we place participants according to their skills, experience and preferences on an individual basis. Camp Directors are looking for staff to fulfil their staffing needs, and the process is based on an individual interview basis.

New for 2024...

You can now link your application with one other person. This means that camps will consider your applications together and you can be placed at camp with a friend or partner.

Please note, you are only able to link your application with one other person and they must also agree to link their application to yours. We cannot guarantee that you will be hired together at the same camp but camps will now be able to consider both you and a friend at the same time.

Don't want to link applications? Don't worry! Friends who participate in the program often choose to meet up after camp and travel together, so this is something to keep in mind. Our advice would be to keep an open mind about being hired at different camps. The reality of camp is that you'll be working long hours with few breaks, mixing with new staff, and making new friends along the way.

How much money do I need to bring with me to camp?

It is up to you how much money you bring with you to Canada however we do recommend being able to show proof of sufficient funds just in case you are asked to prove that you will be able to afford to leave the country. This is especially relevant if you do not have a return flight booked.
