How much will I get paid?

At camp, you’ll earn spending money (often referred to as ‘Pocket Money’). With Camp Canada, all first-timers will earn a guaranteed minimum amount, as outlined below:

  • Camp Counselor/activity specialist: $1000 CAD
  • Special Needs Counselors will earn a minimum of $100 CAD more on top of the above pocket money
  • Combo Support Staff: $1200 CAD

What happens if I want to withdraw?

Please refer to your Program Agreement, which can be found in your Camp Canada account for more information on what would happen if you withdraw your application for the Camp Canada program.

What is included as part of the program?

  • 8-10 week summer camp placement
  • Minimum of $1000 spending money
  • Work Permit application support
  • 10 weeks of comprehensive health insurance
  • Support with a Canadian bank account
  • Virtual or in-person orientation
  • Social Insurance Number support
  • Arrival assistance
  • Transport from your host city to camp
  • Support extending your stay after camp as a visitor
  • 24-hour emergency support whilst in Canada 

Here are some costs that you may need to consider:

  • Flights
  • Pre and post-camp accommodations
  • Police Check (varies depending on country of origin)
  • Electronic Travel Authorization fee ($7 CAD)
  • Biometrics fee ($85 CAD)
