Work as a maintenence, kitchen or another behind the scenes support staff. Summer Camps love to hire international staff to bring in new culture, diversity and skills.
What roles are available?
Maintenance Staff
You'll be involved in keeping the campgrounds and facilities up to scratch! You'll be responsible for repairs and maintenance and making sure everything is safe and functional for campers and staff.

Kitchen / Food Preperation Staff
Working in food prep at a summer camp involves preparing meals, managing kitchen duties, and ensuring everyone is well fed, happy and energized for their adventures. You'll be responsible for cooking, serving, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Housekeeping/Laundry
Working in the laundry room at a summer camp involves washing, drying, and organizing clothing, towels, and linens to keep everything fresh and clean for campers and staff. You'll be responsible for making sure everyone has what they need when they need it.

Cleaning
Working in a custodial role at a summer camp involves keeping the cabins, bathrooms, and common areas clean and tidy. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for everyone present at camp.

Do I need to have experience working in these roles?
No, as long as you’re willing to work hard and learn new skills. Any experience will be a bonus, no matter how small.
Do I have to have a specific skill?
It’s always good to say a few things you have experience in (but it doesn't mean you have to be necessarily skilled). We are looking for enthusiasm and participants who are open to learning new skills. If you’re applying to work in a more specialized role, it helps if you have qualifications and experience.

Will I receive training?
Yes. You will have specific training for your role at camp when you arrive. Training can be anything from a few days to a couple of weeks long, some camps do send out training material beforehand.
Camp training is often a highlight of your camp placement. Use pre-camp training time to get to know your fellow camp-mates, ask questions and learn as much as you can! If we can offer you one piece of advice about pre-camp training, it is to jump into it!
