How much will I get paid?

At camp, you’ll earn spending money (often referred to as ‘Pocket Money’). 

  • Minimum of $3000 for a 12 week contract
  • A camp may choose to offer $2700 plus a $300 completion bonus alternatively.

What is included as part of the program?

  • 12 week summer camp placement
  • Minimum of $3000 camp salary
  • IEC Work permit application support
  • 12 weeks of comprehensive health insurance
  • Support with a Canadian bank account
  • Social Insurance Number Guide provided
  • Arrival assistance
  • Transport from your host city to camp
  • Support extending your stay after camp as a visitor
  • Post-camp job support: Access job fairs, resort jobs, farm work, and year-round opportunities.
  • 24-hour emergency support whilst in Canada 

Here are some third party costs that you may need to consider:

 

  • Flights
  • IEC - $272CAD (this fee is subject to change in 2025)
  • Pre and post-camp accommodations including miscellaneous funds
  • Police Check (varies depending on country of origin)
  • Biometrics fee ($85 CAD)
  • Fee to Camp Canada - $0 CAD! Unlike many work & travel programs, Camp Canada does not charge you a fee. Instead, your participation in the Camp Canada program is subsidized by the camp you are placed at.
