How long does it take to complete and submit my online work permit extension application to IRCC?
The time it takes to complete and submit your application to IRCC may vary. You will be required to download multiple forms/documents from your Camp Canada and IRCC accounts, complete your application and forms, upload a copy of your passport and all of the necessary forms/documents to your IRCC account, and, if applicable, submit payment for your application.
The Government website can be very glitchy, sometimes causing difficulties logging in for hours or even days. Therefore, we recommend that you set aside at least 3 hours to complete your application many days in advance of your work permit expiring. This will reduce your risk of missing the deadline to submit your application.
It is also important to complete your application:

Be prepared to complete your application with:

Camp Canada cannot complete and/or submit your application on your behalf, nor has access to your IRCC account.
