Costs & Pay - Direct Placement

We aim to be transparent about all the costs involved through our Direct Placement program.

How much does the program cost?

We don't charge any fees, this is paid by your employer. However, you will incur other costs in order to travel and work at summer camp in Canada.

What other fees should I expect to incur?

The fees you can expect to incur are:

  • Flights to/from Canada (this varies from your location)
  • Electronic Travel Authorization ($7 CAD)
  • Biometrics ($85 CAD)
  • Work Permit fee ($155 CAD)

Note: Typically, work permits carry a fee of $155 CAD, which is paid directly to the Government of Canada at the time of your work permit processing upon arrival in Canada. You may be eligible for fee exemption, if so, we will provide you with this in your documents.

You will need to consider other costs like:

  • Pre and Post camp accommodations
  • Healthcare Insurance
  • Travel Insurance
  • Training cost (if applicable)
  • Medical forms (if applicable)
How much do I get paid as a returner?

In general, returning camp staff will earn more than first-timers and returners are responsible for negotiating their pocket money (payment) directly with their Camp Director.
